Bend the Arc joins with 1Hood Power to support candidate for county executive

Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Pittsburgh and 1Hood Power — both Pittsburgh-based 501 (c) (4) social welfare organizations — hosted a joint news conference on May 9 in support of state Rep. Sara Innamorato’s bid for Allegheny County Executive. The event, held at the corner of Darlington Road and Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill, drew about 20 people.
Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Pittsburgh’s efforts have focused on support for immigrants and refugees, electoral issues, voter access and healthcare, according to its website. 1Hood Power works on a variety of issues, including affordable housing, economic justice and criminal justice reform.
Speakers at the news conference included Jonathan Mayo of Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Pittsburgh; Jasiri X, co-founder of 1Hood Power; Kyna James, a coalition organizer with the Alliance for Police Accountability; Tanisha Long, a community organizer at the Abolitionist Law Center; and Innamorato.
