Alexandra (Ally) Mars and Phill Kaplan Engagement Announcement
Andrew and Cheryl Mars of Peoria, Arizona, formerly of Pittsburgh, are overjoyed to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexandra (Ally) Mars, beloved granddaughter of the late Bud and Barbara Mars of Pittsburgh and the late Milton and Mildred Stone of Brooklyn, to Phill Kaplan, son of Michael and Diana Kaplan of Denver, Colorado. Phill is the grandson of the late Leonard and Hilda Kaplan of Great Neck, New York, and Robert Sunshine, Carolyn and Michael Simon, all of Denver. Phill proposed to Ally on June 13, 2025, a date chosen for its special connection to the 613 mitzvot in the Torah, honoring the couple’s shared love of Jewish tradition. The happy couple makes their home in Denver and looks forward to beginning this next chapter of their lives together, surrounded by the values and community they hold dear.
