The Jewish Association on Aging, in anticipation of the upcoming event The Art of Aging, is sponsoring a speed-painting contest this summer at the Jewish Community Center’s J&R Day Camp.
Children ages 3 to 10 can join in on the fun for a chance to win prizes and have their art creatively displayed at the Heinz History Center event on Monday, Sept. 15.
This speed-painting contest is a challenge to paint a picture on white construction-style paper in 10 minutes or less that answers the question, “What does old look like to you?” Finger paints or water color paints are allowed.
The age groups are 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 10. Winners will receive first-, second- and third-place prizes in each group.
The Art of Aging is sponsored by the JAA to benefit the quality of life and benevolent care fund, which supports care for seniors with limited financial resources.
