Chronicle to receive 11 Simon Rockower Awards

Record number of wins for the Chronicle

The Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle will be recognized for its work in 2023 with 11 Simon Rockower Awards for Excellence in Jewish Journalism from the American Jewish Press Association. This is a record number of wins for the Chronicle.

The winning stories were written by Editor Toby Tabachnick, Staff Writers Adam Reinherz and David Rullo, and freelance journalists Emma Riva and Justin Vellucci.

The exact category and award placements will remain undisclosed until the awards banquet held in conjunction with the AJPA Annual Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, Sunday, June 2 through Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

The AJPA received more than 1,100 Rockower entries this year. PJC
