Titled "Mantra," this is one of the mosaics in a traveling exhibit that was part of the Eradicate Hate Global Summit in Pittsburgh. Artist Carol Nemir of Austin, Texas, writes in part that "I believe that whether we realize it or not, none of us has been left untouched by the hate crimes and mass shootings that pervade today's society. The acts have hit closer to home to some than others, but we all have been impacted in some way, and we each contribute in some way to the direction in which the web will next ripple. The mantra 'Peace Begins With Me' reminds me of the responsibility and the power I have to ensure that the choices I make on a daily basis contribute to a more peaceful world."
