As a child of survivors, I see my parents in every Ethiopian immigrant to Israel.
For my family, there was no state of Israel. Many members of my family perished in the Holocaust. There was nowhere for them to go.

Pittsburgh Federation helps Ethiopian Jews make aliyah
About 280 Ethiopian Jews arrived in Israel on Feb. 26, 2021, part of Operation Tzur Yisrael. The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh helped to fund the effort.
