description: South Hills Jewish Pittsburgh, in partnership with Classrooms Without Borders, presents “They Played for Their Lives,” a powerful 50-minute documentary about eight Jewish musicians whose lives were saved in the Holocaust by playing music. Following the screening, there will be a discussion and Q&A with Dr. Nurit Jugend, the film’s producer and an Israeli composer and music lecturer at Stanford University.
