Holocaust Museums and Memorials Around the World

Classrooms Without Borders, in coordination with Tali Nates, Founder and Director of the Johannesburg Genocide & Holocaust Centre, and in partnership with the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, Liberation 75, and the USC Shoah Foundation is pleased to embark on this new innovative Museums and Memorial series where we will highlight different angles of complex memory.
This month’s program, “Memory, Memorials and Museums of the Holocaust and the Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda: A view from the African Continent” will feature a panel discussion led by Nates Featuring: Myra Osrin (founder of the Cape Town Holocaust & Genocide Centre), Mary Kluk (founder of the Durban Holocaust & Genocide Centre), Owen Griffiths (founder of the Beau Bassin Jewish Detainees Memorial & Information Centre) – Pre-recorded, Freddy Mutanguha (Director of Aegis Trust and the Kigali Genocide Memorial) 1 p.m. classroomswithoutborders.org/holocaust_museums_and_memorials_around_the_world
