DESCRIPTION:The Tree of Life will celebrate Chanukah with its friends of Calvary Episcopal Church\, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Church\, 315 Shady Ave. There will be a latke-making demonstration\, simultaneous sessions on the origins and practices of both Christmas and Chanukah\, a craft project\, community sing-a-long and food. Free and open to the public but registration is required. Please call 412-521-6788 to register. The community is also invited to the Christmas pageant beginning at 11:00 a.m. Packaged food or new toys will be collected for communal distribution.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Chanukah at the JCC (5738 Darlington Rd.). Menorahfest begins at 2 p.m. and included dreidel and menorah creations with Snapology and Little House Big Art\, no-bake Chanukah snacks\, storytime with PJ Library\, coffee and sufganiyot\, candle lighting and song session. The JCC Center of Loving Kindness\, the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom\, Jewish Family and Community Services – Refugee Services and the Somali Bantu Community Association will collect baby supplies from 2 to 4 p.m. Neighbors of all faiths are welcome to end the evening with the First Night of Chanukah Candle Lighting at 4 p.m.
